Northwest Arkansas has a slight chance of snow for Christmas this year. On one hand it would be nice to have a white Christmas. On the other hand, it might prevent loved ones from reaching my house on Christmas day. If only there were a way to keep the snow off the roads. If only……….
Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening by Robert Frost
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
This is my favorite poem and not really a Christmas poem, but still I wanted to share it with you today.
I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas. Love – Starwoodgal
Four days until Christmas. I still have a couple of gifts to buy and some grocery shopping to do. I’ll also do some last minute clean up work around the house because I never think that it looks quite good enough for company. (I live with two males. They don’t get it.) But, despite all that – I’m trying to send out a little fun this Christmas. I ‘Elfed’ my little family yesterday and this is my Christmas Card to all the Something’s Burning readers. So if you need to destress – go elf yourself. Guaranteed laughs.

Welcome to Starwood Gals’ Favorite Foto Friday where she uses pictures shared by family and friends to entertain the three people who read this blog. Today’s photo – little brother Rusty. Photo provided on FB by my beautiful sister-in-law, Julie – aka Rusty’s Trophy Wife. (it is okay to call her that – she calls herself that). Today I’m demonstrating my skills at matching ‘Celebrity Look-alike’ photos. Tell me if I got this all wrong.
Nope. I think that’s pretty spot-on. ‘Merry Christmas, Sh*’r was full!’
Oh – that’s Rusty on the left.
