Favorite ‘Foto’ Friday – 9/4/09

This gives ‘Labor Day’ an entirely different meeting.

My mother – circa 1956.  Hanging laundry out to dry (Dad was still in the navy and wore a lot of white).

The expression on her face says it all.  I think I’ll go hug my washer AND dryer.

Happy Labor Day weekend y’all!  🙂

Oh wow! What a wonderful moment to be captured on film. These kinds of shots are the best because you know that the last thing on her mind was glamour, beauty, or remembering that particular history of everyday things. And yet, she looks beautiful, confident, strong, and glamorous anyway. Not at all mundane.

    This is great. Great!
