Recipe: Shrimp Etouffe

Here’s another easy shrimp recipe (and no okra)!

Shrimp Etouffe

1/2 cup butter
3 cloves garlic
2 large onions
1/4 cup water
1 can Rotel tomatoes
2 ribs celery
1 green pepper
salt and pepper to taste
2 lbs. raw peeled shrimp

Prepare and chop all vegetables very fine. Heat butter over low heat in a large skillet. Saute vegetables in butter until tender. Add drained tomatoes and half of the juice. Cook 10 minutes. Add shrimp, seasonings, and water. Cover and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes. Serve over hot, cooked rice.
