Recipe: Crescent Chicken Squares

Do you need a new recipe for something men would most likely label as “chick food”? Well - this is it! Although it is pretty “chick food”, men do like it too. The perfect little “puff” with chicken inside. Just the right size for one person and oh so perfect for a luncheon or shower. And, they look really pretty on the plate. AND! THEY ARE SO DARN EASY TO MAKE – you knew I’d go there. I’m all about the EASY factor when it comes to cooking.
Dauna’s (sister) Crescent Chicken Squares – (serves 4)
3 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 Tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
2 cups cooked chicken, cut up
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 Tablespoons milk
1 Tablespoon chopped onion
8 oz. can crescent dinner rolls
1 Tablespoon butter or margarine melted
In medium bowl, blend cream cheese and 2 Tablespoons of melted butter (or margarine) until smooth. Add next 5 ingredients and mix well. Separate dough into 4 squares; spoon 1/2 cup meat mixture into center of dough. Pull corners up, twist and seal edges. Brush with 1 Tablespoon melted butter (or margarine). Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
Y’all Enjoy!

I have made this with tuna for years now. In fact, when we visited our Dutch exchange student years after she left us, she was marreid with a family of her own, she served these as appetizers for us. I was very touched to see that she took something with her that was mine.
