Recipe: Broccoli – Ramen Salad
Posted by starwoodgal on September 12, 2008
With cooler weather veggies coming into season, it is time to try broccoli a different way. This recipe uses cheap chicken ramen noodles. I know! Crazy, isn’t it? Well – I promise this is a great recipe. My son likes it and he really isn’t much of a raw veggie kind of person. I hope you enjoy it too.
Broccoli Ramen Salad
One 16 oz. package broccoli slaw mix (you can find this next to the prepared Cole Slaw bags)
2 bunches green onions, sliced
1 cup sunflower seeds (raw)
1/2 cup sliced almonds (toasted)
2 packages chicken flavored Ramen Noodle soup mix
Dressing:
3/4 cup oil
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup vinegar
1 package of the chicken flavoring from the Ramen Noodle package
Mix the broccoli slaw, onions, almonds, sunflowers seeds. Mix oil, vinegar and chicken flavor seasoning. Pour over the coleslaw mixture and chill for 2 hours or longer. Just before serving, add crumbled up Ramen Noodles and toss all together. Serve immediately.
Y’all Enjoy!

I have been going to call my SIL for this recipe. She had it at a BBQ last summer and I loved it. So a huge thanks to you!!
I make a picnic coleslaw that is similair and just realized that the kids have now grown to like it. It was a hit while we tailgated in the field and went well with crackers and cheese.
